CRaTER -- lf_ecal

NAME

lf_mask -- Verify operation of the CRaTER internal calibration signal

DESCRIPTION

This program connects to the CRaTER GSE with bcmd and CData 121 and, exercises the internal electrical calibration pulse generator in steps of 8 counts from an amplitude of zero to 248. This is done for both the low and high calibrate source input.

The output data is tagged with an ``echo'' preceding every amplitude change, 0x0A00 -> 0x0AF8 for the low range, 0x0B00 -> 0x0BF8 for the high range.

This script is part of the Long Form Functional Test. It assumes no particular instrument state and leaves the instrument in RESET.

DATA MARKERS -- embedded via ``echo''

    0x8000 -> 0x80F8 preceding each low level cal input
    0x8100 -> 0x81F8 preceding each high level cal input
    0xFFFF -- end of data run

ENVIRONMENT

    perl5.002     Minimum version of Perl interpreter required
    CRATERTOOLS   Environment variable containing path to CRaTER utilities
    CRATER_GSE    Environment variable containing EGSE machine name
